Level 3 Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at Leverington Primary Academy.

You will be working 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 15:30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break over 39 weeks.

The right candidate will need to be adaptable, enthusiastic, highly-motivated and have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team to ensure high standards and outcomes for all pupils. They must demonstrate full commitment to the school, its vision and its aim to raise standards.

You will assist the class teacher in the delivery of high Quality First Teaching, as well as supporting children one-to-one in the classroom and at unstructured times as needed. There will also be some time working with individuals and small groups that require a highly differentiated curriculum and therapeutic strategies to access learning. This will mean working closely with our SENDCO and Pastoral Lead to review and adapt provision as needed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has recent and relevant experience in a school setting—ideally within the last 12-18 months.
  • Is resilient, able to remain calm and focused under pressure, and committed to overcoming challenges with a positive mindset
  • Has patience, a positive outlook and a great sense of humour
  • Works effectively and collaboratively as part of a team, contributing ideas, sharing best practice and supporting colleagues to create a consistent and inclusive learning environment
  • Is passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils.
