We are seeking a nurturing, caring, and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our students, both within the provision and out in mainstream lessons. We can offer you the most amazing children to support, the chance to be part of a fantastic and welcoming team, and a fabulous, purpose-built building within a wonderful school. If you can demonstrate a nurturing, calm, patient, and positive attitude, we can provide the training, particularly around autism.

This role involves a mixture of supporting our pupils on a 1:1 / 1:2 or small group basis, both in mainstream lessons and in the provision itself. We support the children’s academic needs and their social and emotional development too. Our staff can enjoy opportunities to plan and lead small group activities and we play to your particular strengths to bring out the best in our children.

Our autism provision, Chiltern Class, has been at Arnold for a long time, and due to our continued success and the demand for places, in January 2023 we increased the number of places we offer and took up residence in a brand new purpose-built unit.

Arnold Academy is a great school to be part of, and as part of the wider Pyramid Schools Trust, we offer growth, support, training, and a fantastic environment to work within.

If you would like more information about what the role entails and/or to arrange a visit, please contact our Assistant Headteacher forSEND & Inclusion, Hayley Cutmore on 01582 616400 or email hcutmore@aa.pstrust.org.uk.
