What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant at Colmers Farm Primary School: -

  • to work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion and to support pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
  • who ideally is Read Write Inc trained or otherwise has a good Phonics knowledge.
  • has knowledge of EYFSP.
  • to supervise a whole class during the planned absence of a teacher for PPA.
  • attend to pupils’ personal care including toileting, hygiene, dressing and eating as well as help with social, emotional, welfare and health matters in close consultation with class teacher and Inclusion Lead.
  • physically assist pupils in activities which may involve lifting where required.
