Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Darwin) job summary
Location: Darwin Learning Centre, Ida Darwin, Fulbourn, Cambridge.
Work hours: 30 hours per week, over 5 days (Monday – Friday). Term time only.

Pilgrim Pathways School is an Outstanding alternative provision educating children and young people across four hospital centres based in Fulbourn and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Pilgrim Pathways School is currently going through some very exciting developments - including a recent name change (formally Pilgrim PRU), new branding and recruitment of a number of new positions. This is a very exciting time for our dynamic and unique school, and for you to join us on our continued journey of delivering excellence in hospital and SEND education.
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will work with our existing team with the Darwin Learning Centre. The Darwin is a Tier 4 acute psychiatric adolescent unit for students aged 12-18. Pupils are taught within small teaching groups or on a one to one basis. This is a challenging yet varied and highly rewarding role where you will work under the guidance of the Teacher in Charge to support teaching and learning in the classroom.

Pilgrim Pathways School is an OFSTED outstanding alternative provision, which encompasses 4 hospital schools. The Darwin Centre is an adolescent psychiatric unit for young people from the ages of 12 -18 years old with mental health difficulties. The Phoenix Centre is for young people from 12- 18 years old with eating disorders. The Croft Children and Families Centre is for children and their families with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the education team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Education and Outreach Service work with children with physical health conditions.
