Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Enhanced Resource Base- Autism Specialism job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our committed and enthusiastic team on a new opportunity supported by the Local Authority. In October, we will become the home for the first Primary Autism Enhanced Resource Base (ERB) in Cambridgeshire. ‘The Woodland’ will be for 8-10 children with social communication difficulties where 100% mainstream provision is not appropriate. We are looking for the first Teaching Assistant to join our teacher led team.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience and/ or particular interest in the area of Autism;

• Have experience of working with children who may need adaptions to the way they work to achieve their full potential;

• Understand that some children may communicate through their behaviour;

• Have a ‘can do’ and ‘never give’ up attitude when working with vulnerable young people;

• Ability to promote both the academic progress and well-being of children;
