Contract Term: Permanent
Hours: Part-time 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade SC3 SCP 6 – 9 actual £16,171 per year (FTE £25,183), increase subject to pay award
Term Time only: 39 weeks per annum

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in children's lives? Old Priory Junior Academy is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team, working within our nurture provision to support the educational and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of children.

The Role
The successful candidate will work within our nurture provision, supporting pupils with SEMH needs. This role requires someone who can create a safe and nurturing environment while delivering tailored support to help children develop academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the management of pupils and the classroom to support learning and personal growth.
- Implementing interventions to support children with SEMH needs.
- Promoting an inclusive and purposeful learning environment in line with our school values.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to contribute towards reviewing individual support plans.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Successful candidates will:
- Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Have experience working with children across the primary setting, particularly those with SEMH needs.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with pupils and adults alike.
- Be passionate about supporting children's learning and emotional well-being.
- Show resilience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.
