Level 3 Teaching Assistant job summary

The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Wild Bank Community School, Demesne Drive, Stalybridge, SK15 2PG.

Wild Bank is a one form entry school with 31 staff and 146 pupils aged between 3 and 11. Wild Bank’s school motto is ‘Working together we can achieve our best’.

Details about the role:

To start 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2026

Teaching Assistant Level 3 full-time Salary £27,269-£29,572

The role is fixed-term, part-time 27.5 hours per week, Term Time Only

With an actual salary - £17,826-£19,331 (Grade E Point 11-16).

The hours are:

Mon 8.30-15.30, Tue 8.30-15.30, Wed 8.30-15.30, Thu 8.30-16.00 (Staff Meeting) – 30 minutes unpaid lunch each day and one 1hr after school club to be agreed.

We are a small one-form entry school with delightful children and dedicated and friendly staff. We require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, for a Year 6 class, for 4 days per week. We will also require the suitable candidate to be flexible to cover in various classes at other times and to provide smaller group support for classes when needed. Experience of working across a variety of age-ranges is desirable. See job description for further information.

The proposed timescale for the selection and interview process is as follows:

  • Applications close at 09:00 on Thursday 17th July 2025 although the Trust reserve the right to close the process early if suitable candidates are identified through our selection process.
  • Interviews will take place on Monday 21st July 2025
