What skills and experience we're looking for
The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Librarian who is passionate about promoting the joy of reading to young people. We require a post holder who is going to embrace and improve our reading culture at the school and has an excellent knowledge and understanding of contemporary young adult fiction.
It is an exciting time in the Library, the school is currently:
- in the process of moving to a new library management system;
- refitting the library with a new layout and furniture in preparation for the next academic year (2024/2025);
- investing in library stock over the Summer and refreshing the contemporary fiction on offer;
- promoting reading on a whole school level with tutor reading; newsletters, events, author talks and competitions.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (Term time), 8.00am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday
Salary Scale Grade F point 6 – 12 £23,893 – £26,421 pro rata. Actual salary per annum is £18,898 – £20,898.

Cirencester Kingshill School, opened in 1976, as a purpose built 11-16 co-educational comprehensive. It is situated on the south east side of Cirencester approximately one mile from the centre, on a spacious site bordering open countryside. The school became an Academy in August 2011.
