Librarian & Reprographics Assistant job summary

We are looking for an individual who will work to support students and staff during term time in the area of reprographics and in the library. Your day will be varied and challenging; we are looking for someone who can turn their hand to different roles, communicating with people in an open and friendly manner.

As a reprographics assistant your morning will be busy, helping staff prepare resources for teaching, displays and booklets. You will be responsible for maintaining the equipment and ordering stock. The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys a busy and varied work role where they will be physically active.

After your lunch break, in the afternoon, you will have some time to prepare the library space to welcome groups of students at lunchtime. You will be the main point of contact for students using the library during lunchtime periods and afterschool. The librarian will work to promote and support reading for pleasure across the school. For this role we require someone who is organised in their working practice and can work on their own initiative. A library qualification is not required, but experience would be an advantage.

Please note that we will also consider applicants who are looking to work part time as a job share. There are separate job listings for our two part-time positions; a reprographics assistant and a librarian.

Please see attached job description for a full description of the role.

If you wish to discuss the vacancy further, please contact Stella Clark at clarks@tas.herts.sch.uk, or click the Apply Now link at the top of the page.

Closing date: 9am on Wednesday, 4th June 2025. Interviews will be conducted shortly afterwards. Early applications are encouraged as the academy reserves the right to call suitable candidates to interview and to appoint prior to the closing date.
