Library Assistant job summary

The successful candidate will:

ideally have experience of working in the primary school phase
be passionate about making a real difference to the lives of the children, including those with SEND
build positive relationships with the children and their parents/carers
be organised and proactive.

Principal responsibilities:

Assist pupils and staff with selecting and using books within the library stock
Maintain the organisation and appearance of the library so that it enhances learning and reading for pleasure across the school.
Assist with the physical appearance, promotion and display of books in the library and around the school.
Promote the love of reading through story-time, lunchtime reading clubs and competitions.
