Library & Sixth Form Study Supervisor job summary
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic Ofsted rated ‘good’ school where all can thrive and staff are highly valued. We are looking for a Librarian to join our committed team of staff and to support us to promote reading to all our pupils in all year groups. The ideal candidate will be passionate about reading and committed to providing an excellent quality reading provision for pupils of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. They will also be a team player, prepared to support the operational running of the school where necessary. In addition to the library duties, you will be supervising Sixth Form study sessions.

The successful candidate will:
Be highly organised and have the ability to effectively time manage and prioritise multiple tasks
Have an excellent understanding of how learning resources can effectively support students’ learning
Enjoy working with young people and have a passion for reading
Understand how successful libraries work and have knowledge of library cataloguing systems such as the Dewey Decimal Classification System
