Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Weeks: 39 weeks per annum
Permanent Position
Salary: £33,987 - £38,739 (FTE)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our literacy team in this exciting role. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the success of our library and the Accelerated Reader programme. The role will also include small group and one-to-one literacy and EAL interventions.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to multitask and manage their work well under strict deadlines.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have a high level of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have a passion for reading and an up to date knowledge of relevant books for secondary students.
- Be able to foster positive working relationships with students and manage the behaviour of groups of students.
- Have a practical approach with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Champion all of our young people.
- Be passionate about the importance of education for all children.
- Refuse to accept that disadvantage or SEND should limit ambition or potential.
- Consistently be an outstanding practitioner with a positive work ethic.
- Be student centred and progress focused.
- Stay solution based.
- Be reflective, with a constant drive to improve.
