Lunchbreak Supervisor (1:1) job summary

Job title: Lunchbreak Supervisor (1:1) 

Salary: £13.28 p/h 

Working hours: 6.25 per week 

Working weeks: 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Contract type: Fixed term until 31/08/2027


Our Lunchbreak Supervisors play a vital role in creating a safe, happy and well-organised lunchtime experience for our pupils. Each role involves working 1.25 hours per day during the lunch period. In this role, you will be supporting a student with high needs during the lunch period.


About the job

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lunchbreak Supervisor to join our school team and help make lunchtimes a positive part of every child’s day. You’ll work closely with staff and pupils to create a safe, sociable and fun environment. Whether it’s setting up the dining hall, supporting children during meals, or leading play and activities in the playground (or indoors on rainy days). Your presence will bring stability, encouragement and fun to our lunchtime routine.

You’ll be someone who brings warmth, energy and a sense of fun to the role. We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Able to take initiative and work confidently as part of a team
  • Sensitive to the needs of children
  • Approachable, with strong communication skills
