What skills and experience we're looking for
Morley Newlands Academy is seeking a caring and reliable Lunchtime Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise pupils during lunchtime, support positive behaviour, promote healthy eating and help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children throughout the lunch period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and around the school during lunchtime.
- Encourage good manners, healthy eating and positive behaviour.
- Assist with setting up and clearing away lunchtime areas.
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Report accidents, incidents and behavioural concerns appropriately.
- Support lunchtime activities and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A positive and friendly approach when working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Basic childcare and health and safety knowledge.

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
