Lunchtime Assistant job summary
About the role
We currently have an exciting vacancy within our team to enable us to continue to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team. St. Luke’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a of Lunchtime Assistants to join our team. This position would suit a friendly and patient person who enjoys working with children.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during lunchtime.
Encourage good table manners and positive social interaction.
Assist younger pupils by opening food containers and cutting food if needed.
Maintain a calm and orderly environment, promoting positive behaviour.
Deal promptly with minor incidents and report serious issues to senior staff.
Administer basic first aid (training provided).
Ensure pupils return to class safely and on time.
Support inclusion by assisting pupils with additional needs.
