Lunchtime Supervisor job summary
Reports to: Lunchtime Team Manager
Contract: Permanent
Start date: September 2026
Working Pattern: Part time 5 hours per week/ 5 days per week
Salary: Support Staff Grade 2 Points 3-8
About the role
As part of our lunchtime team, you will help to ensure the safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour of pupils across the school site during lunch. This includes supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging good behaviour, and supporting a safe and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities- Supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground
- Promoting positive behaviour, social interaction and good manners
- Supporting pupils with their needs, including those with additional needs
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils during lunchtime
- Reporting incidents and concerns in line with school procedures
- Maintaining cleanliness and safe conditions during and after lunchtime
- Experience working with children (desirable)
- A positive, calm and caring approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undertake training, including first aid if required
- A friendly and supportive team environment
