What skills and experience we're looking for

Northern Education Trust is seeking a dedicated and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team at Dyke House Academy. In this role, you will work under the direct instruction of the Principal to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, positive, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Support:Escort pupils to and from the dining area, assist them at the serving counter, and ensure tables and packed-lunch areas are kept clean.
  • Behaviour & Welfare:Maintain suitable behaviour standards in line with academy policy, help children develop social skills, and monitor pupil well-being.
  • Health & Safety:Attend to minor accidents or illness, follow health and safety requirements, and adhere to GDPR and data protection guidelines.
  • Safeguarding:Actively follow the trust's safeguarding and child protection policies, recognizing and reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead/Principal.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively under the direction of teaching staff and liaise professionally with colleagues.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and promoting a safe, non-discriminatory environment.
  • Willingness to participate in training and performance development.
  • As this role involves working closely with children, the successful candidate must undergo appropriate background checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
