About this Role

The Pioneer Learning Trust is a small but growing Trust of collaborative schools in Luton and Bedford. The Trust currently consists of The Ferrars Academy, Chantry Primary Academy, Southfield Primary Academy, Whitefield Primary Academy, Ferrars Junior School, Warden Hill Infant School, and Lakeview School.

The Ferrars Academy is a very popular, successful and well resourced academy; rated Good by Ofsted, we pride ourselves in delivering excellence in education, for infant and nursery aged children. We are located on the outskirts of Luton close to the M1, A5 link roads and the L&D hospital. We have a very diverse school population with a range of different languages, religions and cultures. Our children are well behaved and learn in a vibrant and friendly environment.  

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor who will ensure a safe and secure environment for our pupils. We are looking for someone who:

Is positive, caring and enthusiastic

Can create excellent relationships with children and staff

Can work as part of a larger team

Can support positive behaviour

Enjoys being with children

Will be pro-active in engaging children in lunchtime activities/play.

This is a permanent role. 6.25 hours per week, term time only, £3481.45.  Specific working hours can vary depending on whether you are required to work in the main school or the nursery.  

Main School Working Hours 12:00pm - 1:15pm

Nursery Working Hours 11:30am - 12:45pm

Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice in fluently spoken English.

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). Experience of working in a school is desirable.
