Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

You will be friendly, enthusiastic and be able to build a rapport with pupils. You will be expected to be a good role model to our pupils working with them in a reliable, committed and dedicated way, showing a genuine interest in their continuing development and well-being.

You will work as part of a team assisting SLT with lunchtime for pupils. Lunchtime supervisors are responsible for supervising the pupils in the lunch hall and outside in the playground. The role is about supporting our pupils in continuing to develop their personal social skills.

Supervisors supports pupils in following routines around the school during lunchtime. In addition, the role includes supporting pupils in establishing and following school procedures and routines in the dining area and in the playground.

We offer a friendly and supportive working environment with a commitment to the professional development of all staff.

Monday - Friday, 11.15am - 1.15pm (10 hours per week), Term Time only

We are looking to appoint a person who:

  • Loves children!
  • Has previous experience of working with children (desirable)
  • Has a cheerful, warm and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate with children and adults alike
  • Is reliable, efficient, and flexible
  • Is able to work as part of a team and is willing to learn
  • Speak fluent English as in accordance with part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
