The Governing Board of Hollyfield Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated individual to work in our busy school; someone who can promote our school’s friendly and welcoming ethos.

We wish to appoint permanent Lunchtime supervisor who is enthusiastic about children and have a caring, nurturing approach. The applicant must be friendly, calm, with the ability to be assertive and control play and pupil behaviour when required.

The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff and be aware of Health & Safety issues surrounding lunch time activities. Qualifications in first aid would be desirable, although training may be available.

Duties will include:

  • Working as a team member to ensure the safe and enjoyable lunch break of children.

  • Supervising children while they are eating their meals.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour in accordance with the School's Behaviour Policy.

  • Organising appropriate equipment and activities for the children.

  • Supporting and encouraging all pupils to participate in lunchtime activities.

  • It is desirable that applicants have previous skills and abilities of working with young children, but this is not essential.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and, therefore, the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.
