Lunchtime Supervisor job summary
Moorcroft Wood Academy is a one form entry primary school; situated next to Moorcroft Wood, we are extremely lucky to have extensive school grounds. We promote self-esteem, enabling pupils to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential within a happy, caring and friendly environment. We are proud to be part of the Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust, made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.
We are seeking to appoint a lunchtime supervisor to work alongside our current team.
The successful candidates will:
- Actively engage with children during lunch time
- Have the ability to remain calm and fair whilst upholding the school’s policies
- Relate well with children of all ages.
- Be a role model for children by treating them with respect and acting fairly but assertively in implementing the school’s policies
- Understand safeguarding and how to report any concerns appropriately
- Previous experience as a lunchtime supervisor or experience of working with children on a regular basis is desired
- Assist children in the dinner hall to choose and eat a healthy lunch, encouraging the use of good manners and social skills and ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Be able to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.

The school will carry out online search checks for all shortlisted applicants, before interview candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration form, in line with keeping children safe in education guidance. The successful applicant will then be required to undertake an enhanced DBS and other pre-employment checks.
