Lunchtime Supervisor - Primary School job summary

Hours of work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11.15am-12.30pm (Nursery) and Monday to Friday 12.30pm - 1.40pm (KS2)

Total hours per week: 10 hours 50 minutes, term time 38 weeks per year

Dorridge Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly and talented team.

At Dorridge we promote an inclusive atmosphere, all pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that is delivered through high quality teaching and learning.

This role is primarily to ensure the safety and general welfare of pupils during the lunchtime period.

The key responsibilities for this post are as follows (a comprehensive job description is available):

  • To supervise, care, integrate and play with the children both indoors and outdoors
  • Assist children in the dining hall and tidy all areas during and following lunch
  • Work with individuals and groups of children of all levels of ability, preparing activities and all necessary resources as required by the school
  • Assist school in establishing an exciting, purposeful and safe lunchtime environment, which enables children to feel secure and happy.
