Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our dedicated support team. This is a key role in helping to ensure our students’ safety, well-being, and enjoyment during the lunchtime period.


About the Role:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise students in the canteen, playground, and across the school premises during the lunch break.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and inclusive play.
  • Address any incidents of poor behaviour or bullying in line with school policy.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all pupils.
  • Support indoor activities during poor weather and ensure pupils return safely to lessons.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Enjoys working with young people and has a calm, caring, and positive approach.
  • Has experience supervising children in a school or similar environment (desirable).
  • Communicates effectively and can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Understands the importance of child protection, inclusion, and behaviour management.
  • Is dependable, professional, and a strong team player.
