Lunchtime Welfare Assistant (Maternity Cover) job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Welfare Assistant to join our friendly team at Knotty Ash Primary School to cover a period of Maternity leave. As part of Lydiate Learning Trust, we are committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

As a Lunchtime Welfare Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of our pupils during the lunchtime period. You will supervise children in the dining hall and playground, encourage positive behaviour, support children's welfare needs and help create a calm and enjoyable environment for all.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can supervise groups of children effectively.
  • Remains calm, professional and positive.
