We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our Estates team, supporting a number of our primary schools across the Woodbridge area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the daily experience of pupils and staff by helping create safe, welcoming and inspiring learning environments.

Working across multiple school sites, you'll be part of a supportive Trust-wide Estates team, carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks, repairs and improvement works, while playing an important role in ensuring our schools remain compliant, secure and operating smoothly.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and site support activities
  • Helping to keep school buildings and grounds safe, clean and well presented
  • Supporting planned maintenance projects and contractor visits
  • Assisting with health and safety inspections and compliance checks
  • Responding to day-to-day issues and helping resolve maintenance problems quickly and effectively

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a maintenance, facilities or trade-based role
  • Good practical skills and confidence carrying out a range of repairs
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently
  • Flexibility to travel between schools within the Trust
