Marketing and Communications Lead job summary

At Learning Academies Trust, we believe every child deserves an exceptional education and every school deserves to be celebrated for the difference it makes to its community. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an inspiring and experienced Marketing and Communications Lead to help tell our story, strengthen our reputation and support the future success of our schools.

This is more than a marketing role. It is an opportunity to influence strategic growth, champion innovation, connect with communities and make a meaningful contribution to the lives of children, families and staff across our Trust.

Working closely with the CEO and senior leaders, you will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious Trust-wide marketing and communications strategy. You will help ensure that our schools are recognised for their achievements, our values are visible in everything we do, and our communications are engaging, consistent and impactful.

You will drive initiatives that support:

  • Pupil recruitment and school visibility
  • Stakeholder engagement and community relationships
  • Employer branding and staff recruitment
  • Reputation management and positive media presence
  • Strategic communication across a growing organisation

From shaping campaigns and creating compelling content to supporting major Trust announcements and developing our digital presence, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening how we communicate with the communities we serve.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced marketing and communications professional who combines strategic thinking with creative flair.

You'll be someone who:

  • Has a proven track record of delivering successful marketing, communications or engagement strategies.
  • An outstanding communicator who can translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences.
  • Understands the power of brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Can turn insight, data and analytics into action and measurable impact.
  • Builds strong relationships and positively influences others.
  • Is innovative, forward-thinking and excited by new approaches to communication.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working across multiple projects and priorities.

Experience in education, the public sector or multi-site organisations would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in hearing from talented professionals who can bring fresh ideas and a strong commercial understanding of marketing and communications.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Work directly with senior leaders and influence organisational strategy.
  • Lead communications across a values-led and ambitious Trust.
  • Develop innovative campaigns that make a real difference.
  • Shape how our schools engage with families, communities and future colleagues.
  • Join a collaborative organisation committed to continuous improvement and positive impact.

If you are passionate about communications, have the vision to see opportunities where others see challenges, and want to use your expertise to support children to thrive, we would love to hear from you.
