Marketing Assistant Intern job summary

Are you creative, motivated and looking to kick‑start your career in marketing? Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology is offering a 6‑week paid internship for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant Intern to join our team and gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic school environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop real marketing skills while helping to showcase the achievements, events and community spirit of our specialist STEM school.

About the Role

As our Marketing Assistant Intern, you’ll support a wide range of digital, print and event‑based marketing activities. You’ll help create engaging content for social media, assist with school events, produce articles and updates, and contribute to the development of promotional materials. Working closely with staff across CAST, you’ll play a key role in raising the school’s profile and supporting student and staff recruitment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating digital content that promotes CAST’s offer and activities

  • Updating social media channels with engaging posts

  • Interviewing staff and students to gather quotes and stories

  • Assisting with the design and procurement of printed materials

  • Supporting school events both on‑site and off‑site

  • Helping maintain photographic records in line with procedures

Internship Eligibility (Essential)

To apply, you must:

  • Live in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough

  • Be aged 18+ (with no upper limit)

  • Not currently be in education, employment or training

  • Have the right to work in the UK

Staff have eight training and marking days built into the academic year.  There are numerous internal and external development opportunities available to all staff.
