Location: Hybrid - based in Cumbria with flexibility to work remotely
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover (approx. 9-12 months) commencing asap
Hours: 0.6fte (22.5 hours per week)

Cumbria Education Trust (CET) is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our communications strategy during a maternity leave period. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking multi-academy trust that’s shaping the future of education across Cumbria.
What You'll Do.........
- Lead and deliver CET’s marketing and communications strategy across digital, print, and media platforms.
- Champion our brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across our family of schools.
- Create compelling content that celebrates student success, staff achievements, and community engagement.
- Manage press relations, social media, website updates, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Support recruitment campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives
What We’re Looking For......
- A confident communicator with experience in marketing, PR, or communications—ideally in education or the public sector.
- A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and deliver high-quality content.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and can build strong relationships with school leaders, staff, and external partners.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and design software is a plus.
