Marketing & Events Coordinator job summary

Biddenham is an 11-19, oversubscribed school that, as we expand, is entering the next phase of its development. Due to our popularity, and as part of our £4.5 million building programme, we are growing and strengthening our already high performing staff team who, by 2025, will be working with 1500 students.

To that end, we are looking to appoint an inspiringMarketing and Events Coordinator to join the school at an exciting time of its growth and further expansion. The role is working 37 hours per week, term time only, including training days plus 3 weeks during the summer break.

The successful candidate will be responsible for further developing and implementing marketing strategies that promote Biddenham International School to the wider community, as well as leading and organising our flourishing event calendar.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Further develop and implement marketing campaigns to support our student enrolment targets at Year 7 and Sixth Form.

To attract new students, retain existing cohorts into 6th Form and keep in touch with former students.

Further develop the alumni database.

To maintain and further develop the positive image of the school within the local area through events, advertising campaigns, email and social media campaigns.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including students, staff and parents, the wider school community and relevant industry professionals.

Create and update marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and presentations, in collaboration with the senior leadership team and our reprographics department.

Organise and lead whole school events which promote the school positively.

We are looking for:

Knowledge and understanding of traditional and digital marketing techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
A flexible schedule for attendance at evening events.
Knowledge of ‘WordPress’ or the desire to train.
