Martial Arts Programme Co-ordinator and Coach (London) job summary

We’re inviting applications for a Martial Arts Coach at Bobby Moore Academy (BMA) and agreed days across our other DRET Academies spread throughout the year.

This role will have responsibility for delivering daily lessons to primary and secondary BMA pupils focussing on Martial Arts as self-defence. Alongside this you’ll enhance participation and provision across the Academy in enrichment clubs and squads. You will also develop club links for pupils to train and compete outside of school, and over time enter competitions as a school.

The successful candidate will also deliver a range of days across other Trust Academies including takeover days, masterclasses and events.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the candidate to develop and grow a programme and their role within the Trust. The role will work closely with the PE Department and DRET Sport team to ensure lessons / classes are planned, reported, and delivered to a high standard.

The Trust is passionate about sport and we’re looking for someone to improve participation and performance, whilst developing talent over this time.

All Martial Arts disciplines considered including, but not limited to, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Aikedo, Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling to name a few.

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience + inner London weighting.

This is flexible, the number of days and hours per week can be agreed at, or prior, to interview with the candidate. As a minimum we’d be looking for 21 hours split over three days, through to a full time 37 hour a week contract.

Fixed term contract until 31st August 2026.

Delivery would be during school day 8:30am - 4:30pm.
