Mary Deans CE Primary - After School Club Leader job summary
First Federation Trust a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon, Plymouth and West Dorset are looking to appoint an After School Club Playleader at Mary Dean's CE Primary School, Tamaton Foliot on the outskirts of Plymouth. This is a permanent position for 2.75 hours per day, ideally for 5 days a week, term time only.
We are looking for a warm and caring individual to lead our wrap around care facility at our school.
The key purpose of the job is to:
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the running of the Out-of-school childcare provision
- Co-ordinate the provision of a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environment
- Supervise staff and volunteers, including ensuring they are supported in order to offer the highest quality provision
- Undertake the role of the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) for the Out of School Club setting in liaison with the DSO for the School (training will be given)
- Daily manage the staff team, including managing rotas, and handling absences/ holiday/ sickness
- Demonstrate previous experience in a playwork environment, working with school-aged children in a voluntary or paid capacity
- Keen to work towards a level 2 or level 3 qualification in childcare.
