Salary – NQT/MPS/UPS
Hours: Part-time (19.5 hours to work on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Food Technology to join Boston Spa Academy from 20 April 2020. Located between York, Leeds and Harrogate, Boston Spa Academy is committed to the development of the whole student, the physical, aesthetic, emotional, moral, spiritual as well as the intellectual.

Essential educational requirements

•Good honours degree in relevant subject
•Qualified Teacher Status (or currently an ITT/GTP trainee)

Essential qualifications

Either:
• Successful placement(s), teaching Design Technology at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training)
or:
•Successful record of teaching Design Technology including very good exam results at one or more of KS4 & KS5 (applicants who already have gained QTS)

Essential skills and experience

•Very good classroom practitioner
•Detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium
•Knowledge and experience of intervention strategies
•Ability to put vision into practice
•Ability to devise new resources for learning
