Do you have these core traits to be a successful Change Maker and Specialist Mathematics Teacher at Bader Academy?
Bader Academy is a special school which opened in September 2020, and provides 100 places for children and young people, aged 5-16, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Communication and Interaction Difficulties.
Our ambition
and yours will be that Bader is a centre of excellence for both the specialist
provision and for promoting the latest inclusive practices across education.
Our Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a qualified teaching colleague to join our school, as specialist Secondary phase teacher in the area of Mathematics. This subject has one of the the highest profiles in our school and will support both our subject specific approach and thematic curriculum. We are looking for a practitioner who has an innovative approach to their work and isn’t afraid to think of new and interesting approaches to the support they offer. We regret that this role will not be appropriate for Early Careers Teachers.
Empathetic and passionate, you’ll understand that our pupils’ journeys aren’t necessarily linear. If you haven’t worked in SEN before, but are enthusiastic and motivated to make the move, we’ll give you all the additional training and support you require.
You will be supporting learners within their classroom environment as well as their personal and social development during socialising periods through break and lunch times. The role may also involve supporting pupils who are accessing an alternate provision away from the school environment.
What the school offers its staff
Our children and young people at Bader deserve an education that will change their lives and give them the opportunity to fulfil their potential. At Bader we are unwavering with our ‘Be kind, be safe and be ready’ ethos. Staff employed in our Academy Trust enjoy a fulfilling career and we focus on releasing your potential and maximising your impact.
