Are you a highly organised professional with an eye for detail? Join our team and play a vital role in supporting mathematics education across our region.
The Maths Hub is looking for a proactive Administrator to provide high-quality support to our team, schools, and strategic partners. You will be the first point of contact for the Hub, ensuring our operations run smoothly and our professional development programmes are delivered effectively.
We offer flexible working but a Tuesday will be office based.
The Role
This is a varied role that combines frontline communication with essential back-office coordination. You will handle everything from diary management and event logistics to data integrity and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Office Support: Act as the initial point of contact for schools, manage team diaries.
Event Coordination: Arrange venues, IT equipment, and catering; issue work group materials; and manage participant communications.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records on ‘In-house’ database.
Marketing & Communication: Assist in creating newsletters and marketing materials to promote Work Groups to local partners.
Financial Administration: Help prepare financial agreements, process invoices, add new suppliers, and support audit requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who is efficient, transparent, and capable of managing multiple priorities. You should have:
Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Strong IT literacy, with the ability to manage complex databases and spreadsheets.
High standards of accuracy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
A flexible "can-do" attitude—willing to help with everything from high-level reporting to preparing meeting refreshments.
