What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic and imaginative teacher who is passionate about teaching Maths from Key Stage 3 onwards.

At QE we reject the idea that some pupils ‘just can’t do maths’. We believe that through hard work all pupils can improve their understanding and be successful.

What the school offers its staff

The maths department at QE has an established track record of achieving excellent outcomes for our students. We have exceeded national KS4 performance metrics for attainment and progress in each of the post-pandemic cohorts. We are a close-knit team of professionals and work in a well-resourced and supportive environment.

We are an 11-18 comprehensive school with 1250 students (100+ in the Sixth Form) that serves the market town of Crediton and surrounding villages. We are situated in the rolling Devon countryside yet within a 20-minute drive of Devon’s thriving capital city of Exeter.

Our students are brilliant. Our people are friendly and open. The core purpose of our school is Educating to Empower.

We will support your career progression with a tailored programme of professional development opportunities within school and across the Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust and Teaching Schools South West.

Commitment to safeguarding

The Ted Wragg Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a number of safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS check.
