We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and passionate Teacher of Maths to join our experienced Maths Department. The department has a wealth of subject expertise, with a newly launched curriculum in September 2024. We are looking to expand the Maths department and are looking for a colleague who values collaboration and teamwork as well as someone that holds our school values of respect, responsibility and resilience in all aspects of their classroom practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons following the newly implemented curriculum.
- Foster a culture of Respect, Resilience, and Responsibility both inside and outside the classroom.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Be passionate about creating a positive impact on students' academic journey.
- Share our commitment to promoting Respect, encouraging Resilience, and nurturing Responsibility in all students.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority. A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.
The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
