Maths Teacher job summary

A highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics is required to teach across the full range of ages and prior attainment. The ability to teach A Level is a necessity with further mathematics desirable. The department includes a lead practitioner and mastery specialist as part of its commitment to developing jointly planned schemes of learning that foster a deeper and connected understanding of maths. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly successful, hard-working and friendly faculty whose work is greatly valued and supported by the School Leadership Team.

Hanley Castle High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of approximately 1,050 students, including a flourishing sixth form. The school gained academy status in 2011 and in April 2017 our articles of association as an academy were amended to form the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (MAT). This formalised close links with Hanley Swan and Kempsey primary schools. In January 2019 Welland primary school also became a member of the MAT.
