Our Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Maths tutor to support individual students or small groups of students in our Year 10 or 11 cohort with Maths. 

The successful candidate will have taught GCSE Maths and will be required to help our students with their content, recall and exam skills. In addition, the successful candidate will support the department in the quality control of exam-practice script marking and training. The lessons will not require any prior planning and there won’t be any marking. The exam script support work will be flexible. 

As a colleague, you will need to be reliable, patient, and able to form positive relationships with our students, in order to help them achieve their potential. 

You will also need an enhanced DBS check.

Filey Secondary School

Filey School is an 11-16 mixed community school serving the coastal town of Filey and its surrounding villages. The Trust was founded by Scalby Secondary School but has grown over the last few years to include Newby and Scalby Primary School, Friarage Primary School and the Scarborough University Technical College (SUTC) in Scarborough, Lady Lumley’s Secondary School in Pickering and Filey School.
