MDSA x2 job summary

The working hours for this role are expected to be 7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is as soon as possible.

The Grove Primary School is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and positive MDSA's to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that children are safe, happy and well supported throughout the lunchtime period. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and around the school site, encouraging positive behaviour, good manners and inclusive play. The role involves helping to prepare and clear dining areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting children during lunchtime activities. You will respond to minor first aid needs, report any accidents or welfare concerns and follow safeguarding procedures at all times. Working closely with colleagues, you will help uphold the school's values and create a positive experience for every child during the midday break. You will build positive relationships with pupils, act as a role model and support their wellbeing through your calm, caring and professional approach. Above all, you will be committed to promoting the safety, welfare and development of children while contributing to a welcoming and supportive school community.
