Mealtime Assistant job summary
We are looking to recruit a Mealtime Assistant to ensure that the lunchtime supervision of children is adequately covered. The successful applicant will need to supervise, assist and encourage the children with the daily meals and undertake playground duty promoting positive relationships and play.
Boasley Cross Primary School is a thriving, rural, cross roads school which serves the village of Bratton Clovelly and the surrounding area. Education has been provided on this site since the 1800’s. Our school is set in stunning grounds with a panoramic view of open countryside including the Northern edge of Dartmoor with its amazing tors.
Our Trust comprises of 19 schools, 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school. Established in 2018. We are situated in beautiful Devon on the out the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The schools vary in size and are all unique. School Meals
To ensure that children entering Dining Room have clean hands.
To encourage good table manners and orderly behaviour in Dining Room.
To see that drinking water is provided and assist in pouring water for young children.
To assist young children in handling knives and forks and if necessary cut up their food.
To encourage children to eat the meal provided and encourage them in avoidance of waste.
To assist young children to choose a balanced meal.
To supervise the orderly return of empties to a given point.
To wipe down tables between, and at the end of, sittings as time permits.
To clean up after spillage of food, water or sickness in dining area during the service of the meal.
I In General
To undertake playground duty, supervising by circulating amongst children.

The successful candidate will be required to come to DMAT HQ to complete mandatory training.
Training Details:
Location: Central Head Office (Wardhayes) 8 Simmons Way, Okehampton, EX20 1PY
Purpose: To provide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.
Training Schedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
