Media Technician job summary
The role is offered on a part-time, permanent basis working 15 hours per week term time only. Hours of work will be Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm term time only.
About the Technician Role
This role will involve supporting teachers in our Media Studies department with practical sessions to help develop our student’s technical understanding and supporting the progress of students for coursework and practical assignments.
The role would fit well with our Videographer vacancy should the successful candidate wish to carry out both roles.
Your Responsibilities As Our Technician:
- to manage the editing suite and prepare it for use by students and staff
- to assist in the planning, editing and recording of videos for the department
- to oversee student use of the editing suite and provide help and support for students with their coursework
- to provide demonstrations to students and staff in use of editing software and audio visual equipment
What we’re looking for in our ideal Technician:
- Experience of using or an understanding of film editing software and editing
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to maintain stock control and an inventory
