Medical Assistant job summary
Beechwood is a thriving 4 form entry multi-cultural school in Luton which is a welcoming community with pupils who have positive attitudes towards their learning and staff who are part of a well-trained and motivated team.
We require an efficient and responsible person with excellent communications skills to support the medical welfare need of our children in this very large busy primary school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- a background in Nursing or First Aid
- experience working with children
- strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with students, parents, staff and outside agencies in a friendly caring manner
- the ability to use your initiative
- outstanding attention to detail
- the sensitivity and tact required to work with families from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds
- the skills to maintain positive relationships, to work as an effective and flexible part of a team
- be willing to change methods of work and routines to benefit the team;
- IT Literate with a demonstrable experience of administration and clerical work
You will need to be versatile, flexible and thrive on achieving through effective teamwork. This is a rewarding role, where you can make a difference to young children and the school community.
