Mentor Me Co-ordinator Vacancy

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a part-time Mentor Me Co-ordinator based at Winterslow Church of England Primary School and Greentrees Primary School.

Start date: 15th April 2024

End date: 4th April 2025

Hours: 15 hours per week, over 5 mornings preferably but flexible on hours and days, 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days).

Salary E6 - £23,893 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £8117 per annum).

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Mentor Me Co-ordinator who will work alongside volunteers to support pupils’ wellbeing, by complimenting the pastoral work already undertaken in schools.

Duties will include:

Day to day management of the Mentor Me Service

Acting as a lead practitioner in the Mentor Me programme, working directly with children, on a 1 to 1 basis, and leading on the recruitment and induction of volunteers.

Supporting volunteers – first point of contact for volunteers

Developing resources and training

Monitoring effectiveness of the Mentor Me Programme and report outcomes to the Director of Education

The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
