What skills and experience we're looking for
Inspire our lively little learners! We are looking to appoint a HLTA for MFL to support high standards of teaching and learning Chinese (Mandarin), French or Spanish for our children. The successful candidate will have:
- Qualifications to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
- Knowledge of the relevant aspects of the UK National Curriculum
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly

Further details about the role
As MFL HLTA, your responsibilities include:
- To lead and deliver Chinese (Mandarin), French or Spanish lessons across all year goups.
- To be an exemplary teacher, clearly demonstrating effective planning, teaching and organisation, and high standards of achievement and behaviour in Chinese (Mandarin), French or Spanish lessons.
- Set appropriate, realistic yet demanding expectations for students' learning, building on prior attainment/knowledge.
- Identify students who may require learning support and know where to enlist help if and when required.
- Planning that shows clear understanding of the year group expectations and lead to progression within lessons and over sequences of lessons.

Harris Primary Academy Coleraine Park is in the heart of Tottenham, serving a diverse inner city community celebrating a wealth of language and cultures.
