• To ensure that high quality learning takes place, to enable good or outstanding student progress through effective teaching • To effectively plan, prepare, deliver and review Language lessons • To effectively work with all members of the Faculty to develop and set the Schemes of Work • To effectively work with the MFL Faculty to monitor, evaluate and review MFL Teaching • To promote and deliver high quality extra-curricular learning • To actively participate in activities in support of the aims of the school

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead and has around 1300 students.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Key Stage 5 Teacher of Criminology, ideally with experience of teaching Psychology and/or Sociology A-level.

We have extremely high expectations of our students and staff and offer excellent training and professional development opportunities. This position would be ideal for either someone looking to broaden their experience of Key Stage 5 teaching.
