Mid Day Supervisor job summary
The Trustees of Steel City Schools Partnership are looking to recruit a Mid-day Supervisor to start as soon as possible.
The details of the post is 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (7 hours 30 minutes per week), for 38 weeks per year (term-time only).
Our schools provide a happy and secure environment encouraging learning through play and supporting parental involvement.
The successful candidate will be reliable, versatile and enjoy working with children. They
- Will assist in leading and engaging children in activities over the lunchtime period
- Must be enthusiastic, a team player and be able to build good relationships with children.
- Will supervise the children at lunchtimes in the playground, classroom and dining room and will be required to contribute to the development of a positive approach to lunchtime play.
- Encourage children to practise appropriate table manners and maintain a calm atmosphere in the dining room whilst eating.
All members of staff have an important role to play in upholding school expectations.
Supervisory Assistants are accountable to the Headteacher for the safety and general welfare of pupils on the school premises at any time during the mid-day break.
