What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with our SENDCo, teachers, and support staff to assess, support, and deliver targeted interventions to pupils with a range of speech, language, and communication needs. The focus on EYFS and the SEN Hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out assessments and develop individualised therapy plans
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
- Provide staff training and strategies to support communication across the school
- Collaborate with external professionals and parents to ensure consistent support
- Work Closely with Specialist communication Teaching Assistant
- Monitor and review progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration is essential
- A member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and/or the Association of Speech & Language Therapists in Independent Practise is desirable.
- Experience working with children with complex needs, ideally in a school setting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- A commitment to inclusive practice and supporting children from diverse backgrounds
- The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
