A new opportunity has arisen, for a dedicated and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our successful team supporting students at lunchtime. Doddinghurst Junior School are looking for an aspirational Midday Assistant (MDA) to work as part of a team at Doddinghurst Junior School, which is a member of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. Our MDAs create a very positive, happy and secure environment in our playgrounds, dining hall and the school building at lunchtime. There may also be the potential for additional hours supporting our Forest School provision during the school day.
The successful applicant must:
- Interact with the children to encourage good social skills and will lead outdoor activities to encourage participation
- Encourage healthy eating, preparing the tables, supervise playing with the children outside, supervising the clearing up of games and toys, administering first aid and using the school’s behaviour plan
- Ensure the safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell & provide comfort if distressed
- Assist children with Personal Care where necessary
- Be willing to undertake training, including First Aid
