(£4,618.68 - £4,943.51 per annum)

8 hours 20 minutes per week

11:50am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday

37 weeks of the year - term time only

Fixed until 31st August 2027

We are looking for an aspirational Midday Assistant to work as part of a team at Little Thurrock Primary School. Midday Assistants create a very positive, happy and secure environment in our playgrounds, dining hall and the school building at lunchtime.

The successful applicant will:-

  • Have good a good standard of English and Mathematics (Grade 4-9 or equivalent) 
  • Interact with the children to encourage good social skills and will lead outdoor activities to encourage participation
  • Encourage healthy eating, preparing the tables, supervise outdoor play, supervising the clearing up of games and toys, administering first aid and using the school’s behaviour plan
  • Ensure the safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell & provide comfort if distressed
  • Assist children with Personal Care where necessary
  • Be willing to undertake training, including First Aid
