About The Role

Are you passionate about working with children and creating fun, engaging experiences where they can relax, play and grow?

Ebbsfleet Green Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Assistant to join our Extended Day team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children at the end of their school day, helping to create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment where they can develop confidence, friendships and independence.

As a growing school at the heart of the Ebbsfleet Garden City community, we pride ourselves on creating opportunities for children to flourish both inside and outside the classroom. Our after-school provision plays an important role in supporting families and providing children with enriching experiences that complement their learning.

This role would suit someone with experience or an interest in childcare, education, youth work, sports coaching, play work, performing arts or community activities. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and is excited about creating positive experiences beyond the classroom.

Working as part of our Extended Day team, you will help deliver a varied programme of activities, support children's wellbeing and ensure they feel happy, safe and included.

  • Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

  • Is reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team

  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and children's wellbeing

  • Is flexible and willing to support wherever needed

Experience working with children is desirable, but we welcome applications from people with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.

Ebbsfleet Green Primary School is based in Ebbsfleet Garden City, Kent. We are a newly formed school and opened in September 2020. We are now in our third year of opening and have two forms of entry for nursery, reception and year 1 and one form of entry for year 2, year 3 and year 4. We will continue to grow year-by-year, eventually to a two-form entry school, as the Ebbsfleet Green community grows around us. This academic year, our Specialist Resource Provision for children with Autism opened and we have children ranging from reception to year 3 accessing this provision.

We take pride in our creative and entrepreneurial curriculum as it not only engages children, but challenges them to develop the skills - as well as the knowledge - befitting of the twenty-first century. At Ebbsfleet Green, we will give all children an exciting, innovative educational excellence to support them to become the best they can be. We know our children will leave our school ready for the next stage of learning.

We love being part of the Ebbsfleet Garden City community and work in active partnership with residents, parents, carers and local businesses. We believe that by listening and being partners with our community, we will deliver an education to our children that will create respectful, compassionate and inquiring life-long learners.

We are proud to be part of the Maritime Academy Trust.
